Our fiberglass planters are 1/10th the weight of concrete, and even the largest planters are easily handled and shipped. Fiberglass, the main material of our products, gives the planters structure, which is what helps resist shock or expansion of water and soil in cold weather. When the fiberglass material is mixed with resin it's called FRP or Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic. We add bronze or other metals to resin to form our integral cast finish. This hand made specialty type of manufacturing yields a finish that naturally changes with oxidation helping to create blues and greens such as seen on the statue of liberty. |
