We sell our products directly to professional Landscape Architects, Landscapers, trade professionals and volume users for their projects. We don't manufacture planters in order to meet an artificial retail selling price set by retail store buyers as most of our imitators do. Outdoor planters are for utilitarian purposes specifically for holding heavy weighted and water logged soil through cold winters. Our products must last longer then those purchased at retail stores and for over 30 years we have had an excellent track record in the test of time. The research continues as we work to develop higher quality and more beautiful products.
COSTS SAVINGS:
Primarily we are operating as a volume manufacturing company, we ship full containers direct to our customers from overseas. We also put together smaller medium volume orders in large containers and distribute them after the containers arrive in the USA. This helps all of our customers save and since we operate at a low overhead we are able to offer the best pricing while giving our customers the best quality. The pricing shown on our website reflects small orders shipped from our NY warehouse, when available or custom manufactured in about 4 weeks in our NY factory. We are more then happy to discuss your project and pricing and if you can wait we will offer our overseas direct ship pricing.
PRODUCT DETAILS:
DRAINAGE: Our planters usually come with no drainage holes because professional interiorscape customers do not want them. Planters used outdoor must have drainage which can be easily done by drilling holes. We can provide that service, let us know
REPAIR:
Our products have integral cast finishes made of resin and bonded into the fiberglass. You don't need to paint them if there are chips or scratches. Try cleaning with a good brush and detergent first. Use a light sandpaper and sand away scratches. Chips are repaired with plumbers putty available at most hardware stores. Larger cracks or holes require a piece of duct tape or stiff paper applied on the inside part of hole first. Then use some polyester resin/catalyst soaked fiberglass and push into hole. It isn't usually necessary to use the fiberglass, but that is the best way to repair. Build up layers of plumbers putty by letting them dry until you reach the surface the the planter. If there are decorative details and you have a little skill you can carved the clay like plumbers putty to copy the decorative detail. Let it dry and sand it. If you want to try you can very carefully apply a small amount of acetone to smooth out all rough surfaces and make everything look even and more perfect. As with all chemicals read and closely follow the instructions on the can of acetone before use with our products.
BLEMISH REMOVAL:
Bronze or other metalic surfaces can be polished with #00 steel wool to remove scratches. You can use bronze or brass polish as well. |
